Julie Paschkis, The Crossing, gouache on paper, 18 x 14 in

This well known Northwest painter, children’s book author, illustrator and designer shares her work from the past year. A year of solitude and studio time. Gouache and paper are Paschkis’s main media in this exhibit, and sometimes pin holes. Paschkis states:  "This past year of the pandemic was strange. For me it included lots of solitude and studio time. The work in this show comes out of my experiences of last year. Some of the paintings were in reaction to what was going on, and some were an escape to the imagination."
