These paintings come about in several ways. Happenstance always plays a part in it. Sometimes from the very start. And then, another surprise and we’ve stumbled on something possibly meaningful, and with a nudge of color or shape, and a pause, all of a sudden a long contemplation is in order. What is intimated? A moment. A memory. A hurt or a joy. Now, these inform how the puzzle will resolve.
